Love Story: Bubba teeth and all

By: Jody

He wore his bubba teeth and I wore black. He meets me at my car door only for me to step back. I wondered what his picture looked like on that dating sight. In my mind’s eye it was his heart that took me back. I thought how he made me feel and how the months have passed. I thought to myself that I would stay an hour bad teeth or not he was the man of the hour. I sucked in my 34 year old tummy and pulled down my skirt hoping he would not flirt. I realized it might be as bad as it seemed this man of my dreams with teeth of green. We walked to the restaurant as he removed his fake bubba teeth to my surprise. We took a seat and had a drink or two. Hours passed as I worried about him looking at my @ss hoping that I could hold my pee so he wouldn't see my butt following me. Once it was time to go we had thoughts about each other you know. He thought I had a external bladder bag and I him no dentist.  Eight years later as we sit side by side we look back at that day we meet; He looks at my butt and I his teeth and thank god above for the memories we keep

Love Story: Triangle

By: Sabrina

Have you ever thought that you were in love with the perfect guy who was your boyfriend? And have you ever fallen in love with his best friend? I have. And it sucks.

Sloan called to me on the other side of the drive way, waving one hand in the air. "Sabrina, c'mon! We're going to 7-Eleven!" he yelled.
I blinked twice coming out of my daze of the summer's beauty. The tree in the front yard was in full bloom and flower petals were floating endlessly. A warm breeze blew every now and again and the wind smelled of blossoms. Intoxicating. The sun's rays were bright and hot; which was to be expecting considering the fact that it was the middle of July.
Sloan called to me once more and when I didn't respond he stomped over, obviously frustrated. He grabbed my hand and pulled gently. "Geez, you're so slow, Sabby," he groaned. Then he smiled apologetically. He looked down at our hands and whispered, "Your hands are cold."
   "Yours are warm," I replied.
Suddenly, Joey shouted at us, "What are you guys doing', huh?"
Sloan quickly dropped my hand as Joey approached us. "Just talk, Joey," he answered.
Joey's eyes narrowed and wrapped one of his big arms around my shoulder. "But remember, Sloan. She's my girlfriend."
Sloan chuckled. "I can't help it if I love her."
   "Neither can me!" Joey hissed.
I quickly stepped in. "Calm down, guys. I love you both, now can we please go to 7-Eleven?"
They both replied in unison. "Sure."
   We started walking.
I wasn't lying when I said I loved them both. I did. I was just dating Joey. But that didn't mean I loved Sloan any less than him. I was determined to make a decision before they had to go back to Maine.

Love Story: Love Knocked and I answered

By: Bobbi

For as long as I can remember I was the girl in my circle of friends who swore to never marry. Since childhood, I'd not had any dreams of a star-studded wedding with lots of attendants and a flowing white dress. No, I was independent and above that foolishness. During my college years, I grew quite fond of dating several guys - refusing to settle down unless some act beyond my control caused it. After some time I became disenchanted with the dating scene and resigned myself to be single UNLESS God sent Mr. Right to my doorstep. As luck would have it, I decided on a whim to have my carpets cleaned so I scheduled an appointment for a Thursday evening. Upon my return home from work that Thursday, I passed the technician working away on my carpets. We exchanged greetings (and a wink) as I started de-stressing from my day. I remember thinking "how old is this guy?" because he looked about eighteen. Three hours later I had spic 'n span carpets and was wondering how this would end? Did he notice me? Have any interest? He told me that he'd not been in the country long and was looking to make new friends. I thought "That's it!" So I did what any determined, self-respecting woman would do. I slipped him my card on his way out of my house. Well, he called the next day. It's been 2.5 years, and we are set to marry in May of 2009. So going back to my title - Love knocked, and I answered. He never left!

Love Story: Perfect timing

By: Ashley

I have lived in New York like my whole life and I havent had the greatest life that you can ask for. I have been through hell if you want to put it that way. I have moved back and forth between parents and been to alot of schools. Its always been hard to keep friends and dating was out of the question. When i did get into dating i started at 13 and it was wonderful!!! I dated this guy for almost 2 and 1/2 years, everything was going great wtih us and we really loved each other. Well we eventually broke up because we started to fight alot and after that i just started dating alot of guys. I was never with a guy along time because either they would cheat on me or we wouldnt get along. I wasnt having any luck with men and I met the wrong kind of friends to hang out with. I began to skip school and doing alot of drugs i really didnt care about anything because I felt like no one cared about me. I finally got kicked out of my grandmothers house and had to come live down in North carolina. I moved down here in July of 07 and i met a guy as soon as I got down here. I said that i would try to start dating again and i went out with this man. He is 20-21, good looking and has a sense of humor. I met him through some friends of mine down here and he seemed nice and sweet, so I gave it a try. Funny to find out he is from florida and just moved up here the same time I did. He is everything that I have been looking for, he isnt like the rest of the guys that i have been with. He is the person that has got me to open up and make me feel like im wanted and loves me. We have been together for about a year and we are expecting a baby in Septemeber. I know it seems soon to have a baby but things happen for a reason and i think it will bring us closer together. So the thing is that we met at a particular weird time but we are both glad that we met each other.
