I always thought i would be a loner forever. The kind of girl no one would ever expect to go on dates. The total anti-high school romance girl. I thought I would never be able to experience any lovey-dovey stuff. But one day, all my fears washed away. I was with the perfect guy in my head at the time, and we were connecting over my geeky fandom of anime. We got dragged into a dark theatre with some anime screenings by our group and since the place was crowded we had to stand up. The rest of the group went to the left side and he went to the right side. Instinctively i wanted to be on his side and he turned around and motioned me to, wanting me to be at his side too. While I was giggling in my anime-high over the screening which was something not even funny to keep myself from hyperventillating while standing next to him, HE PUT HAND ON MY SHOULDER. I could tell he wasn’t trying to be a player because he looked nervous as well and his hand seemed cautious about what he was doing and what that would mean for us. I admired his hesitancy, for not trying to play me on. But the minute i felt that, fireworks just blew out of my mind. i leaned in closer to him to let him know not to worry. Later on after we started seeing each other more and hanging out we ended up going on dates where i had more of my first intimate moments, like first real hugs, kisses, and other couple-y stuff. Now i feel like there was hope for me 🙂
